Harper's Home Run

Haper's shot in the 7th brought the Nats within two runs. But that was the end of the offense on opening day. Harper came very close in the 9th to getting another home run. If it had gone about 10 feet further. The same can be said for Daniel Murphy who got a triple in the 1st. If it had been just a few feet more, it would have been a grand slam.

Nats at Bat and on the Field — Having Fun with the New Camera

Here are few shots I took with the new camera. Pretty impressive if I do say so myself.

The Flag Presentation

It is always very cool on opening day when the flag is presented and it takes up most of the field.

Player Introductions

Here are a bunch of shots of the players coming out of the dugout as they are introduced.

The 25 Millionth Fan at Nats Park

How appropriate on opening day the 25 millionth fan passed through the gates. Here he is getting all his rewards. The big thing tickets to opening day for the next 25 years. Glad he looks rather young.

The guy won is on the left. It was funny they kept handing him things he won. A jacket, a signed ball, a bat.

Nationals Home Opener

Not the exact results one would hope for. They lost 6-4. There were lots of opportunities for them to score. A couple of bad plays on defense. The score could easily have been the other way. But baseball has begun. So let's play ball.

Lots and lots of pictures in part because we had really great seats and then of course I also had the new camera! So let the pictures begin.
