Strathmore Concert

The concert on Saturday was great. Strathmore is a fantastic place to see something. It took us about 45 minutes to get there. Traffic was the worst just as we got to Bethesda but then it improved. We had a nice diner of herb chicken. Then we went into the the performance. Here's what the Strathmore site has to say about the two violinists we saw:

America’s emerging violin virtuoso, “vigorous, versatile and imaginative” (The Washington Post) Nicolas Kendall is joined by Poland’s rising star Mariusz Patyra, first prize winner of the Paganini International Violin Competition, for the celebrated Bach Concerto for Two Violins. Each violinist also performs one of Bach’s concertos for violin and orchestra. Orchestral Suite No. 3, with its famous “Air on G String,” rounds out the program.

They played an encore a piece that was written by Kendall. It was a somewhat comic take on classical music. Very well done. It was a great night out.
