July 4th

I had a great July 4th. I met someone from work and her husband at the office and we went up to the roof. They brought dinner which we ate and then waited for the fireworks to start. It was a great place to watch them from.

The weather could not have been better. It was partly cloudy most of the day and in the low 80s. Usually by July 4th heat has rolled in to DC. This was not the case on Saturday. In fact the great weather is supposed to continue to be wonderful through the weekend.

As you can see from the pictures below, we had a great view.

Hi Jason,

Personal fireworks were banned here in Monterey, and since the city was broke and had to cancel their annual show to boot, we watched the D.C. Capital Fireworks on TV Sat. night. I knew I could count on your blog to show some of the DC activity.

BTW, have you any words about the Palin resignation? ;)

Glad you could enjoy some fireworks even if they were on TV.

Yes, ya know I do have some thoughts on Palin which I'll post soon. I think her life has turned into a Jerry Springer episode.
