It certainly took a while for this to happen: the cherry blossoms to bloom. As far as I'm concerned spring doesn't start in Washington until the cherry blossoms bloom. This year it looked like it might not happen.
The blossoms were first supposed to peak the last week in March. Then between April 3-6 and then April 6-8. Well the peak will probably happen in the next couple of days because of all the warm weather we are finally getting. It will be at or above 80 for the next couple of days which is warm for this time of the year. But I will take it over the cold temperatures DC has had of late and what seems to be an unending strong wind.
Now on to the blossoms.
