Shutdown!!!

Thank you to the Tea Party Republicans for shutting down the government. Thank you to Senator Cruz (who seems to be doubling as the Speaker of the House too) for shutting down the government.

And now that you've done that what is the plan to get the government back up and running. Oh that's right there is no plan to get it back up and running. Just another series of riders attached to the continuing resolution to defund Obamacare or to delay Obamcare or something along those lines that have no change of passing the Senate at all. But as long as we play to the base that's all that matters. To hell with everyone else in the country.

I thought it incredibly amusing last night listening to the Republicans. After the Senate refused to pass a continuing resolution that defunded Obamacare, they came up with the "reasonable" idea of postponing the individual mandate by a year. The only problem with that is the Republicans have no concerns for ordinary people and how Obamacare will impact them. They are trying every which way to kill Obamacare. Why should Democrats go along with this "reasonable" proposal when they know the only goal by the Republicans is to kill the bill.

So the question is where do we go from here. And what's next in the Republican play book.

Oh yes I know on to the debt ceiling debate. And then the Republicans can throw the country over the fiscal cliff. What a grand old party!
