A glorious celebration — part of the Cherry Blossom Festival— Southwest Waterfront Festival topped off with fireworks. All sorts of bands and performances throughout the day with the big highlight coming at the end of the day fireworks.
And I love fireworks.
As the Post described it:
The Southwest Waterfront Fireworks Festival offers a full day of family fun on one of the busiest days of the National Cherry Blossom Festival, with bands, choirs and dance troupes performing on three stages. There are games and nautical activities, and food trucks such as Rito Loco and Fire and Rice, among others, to provide fuel for the afternoon. The fireworks light up the sky at 8:30 p.m., rain or shine. And it's all free! The only small problem was that the power was out at Waterfront stop. It made for an interesting ride to and from the fireworks.
But now to the fireworks
And then the grand finale!
