Looks like the clean up is getting closer and closer to being finished.
Here are some pictures from this afternoon.
From the Post:
A portion of a busy rail corridor that has been shut down since a freight train derailed Sunday morning in Northeast Washington could reopen by Wednesday morning, CSX Transportation said Tuesday. Officials said the investigation continues, but have offered no information into what caused the 175-car train to derail.
“CSX expects to restore freight train operations through the area within the next 24 hours,” the transportation company said in a statement. “CSX continues to coordinate closely with Amtrak and MARC passenger rail services about the restoration of their services.”
