Yes, I know one shouldn't complain about the weather but the weather in DC for the last month or so has been terrible. February was warmer than March.
Average highs are in the mid to upper 50s. Most day it's barely gotten out of the 40s. I don't think there were two sunny days in a row where the temperature was in the 50s for the entire month of March.
It was extremely windy. It seemed on the days that were sunny there was a strong wind. The days when the weather was warm or average were usually cloudy or rainy.
Just how cold March was is shown by the forecast for the peak bloom time for the cherry blossoms. It was postponed twice. From mid-March to the end of the March to the first week of April. There have been a couple of warm days recently and that's helped move the blossoms along.
The Nats opening day is on Thursday. The temperature is going to be mid-50s. Thankfully it's a day game. The game that will be interesting will be the one on Sunday which is an 8pm game. The high for the day is supposed to be 47. Needless to say I'll be dressing in lots of layers.
Spring can't come soon enough as far as I'm concerned.
