2Political Episode 29

2PP029 - 23 April 2010

2Political Podcast Episode 29 is now available. You can listen to it on the widget on the right side of my blog, or you can go the podcast site, 2political.com. You can leave comments there as well as download or listen to any episode.
We begin with the Arizona law targeting illegal Hispanic immigrants. That leads to a discussion of some of the aspects of illegal immigration that get ignored. That leads on to a wider chat about immigration reform—the way to move beyond the problems Arizona was trying to deal with. A legal immigrant is our next topic: The would-be Times Square bomber. After talking a little about that, we move on to talk about policies dealing with terrorists. Finally, we talk about the oil spill, some of the political reactions to it and some of the ways forward.

It's a wide-ranging discussion today, all packed into one of our shortest episodes. This episode was recorded May 4/5, but was delayed because Arthur was swamped with work and other projects.
