2Political Episode 32

2PP032 - 30 June 2010

2Political Podcast Episode 32 is now available. You can listen to it on the widget on the right side of my blog, or you can go the podcast site, 2political.com. You can leave comments there as well as download or listen to any episode.

We had some big sound issues today, but we persevered. We’re also trying to do shorter episodes more often. We’ll see how we go.

We start off with Arthur talking a bit about Pride 48, which was this past weekend. Then it’s on to our main topic for today, Elena Kagan, whose nomination process has begun. The Republicans are just being silly. Why shouldn’t a liberal justice be replaced with a liberal justice?

This leads to a discussion of the recent gun ruling by the Supreme Court, and the right’s attempts to re-write the US Constitution. A call from Australia allows us to talk about a lesbian judge, and that leads to a discussion of Iceland and the Internet.

Please leave a comment (anyone's welcome—agree or disagree!), or you can ring the 2Political Comment line on 206-350-3982.
