The Revolutionary War Camp at Sky Meadows State Park

There was a Revolutionary War camp set up at the park. There were at least eight people in revolutionary costumes for the camp. It consisted of a couple of tents and a camp fire.

There was also a talk in progress as I walked over there. The man was saying how the frontier settlers of Virginia had been at war for almost 10 years at the start of the Revolutionary War. First there had been the French and Indian War. After that the Virginians fought many of the same Indians that had been their allies in the previous war. Then along came the Revolutionary War. He added there were not many men to guard the vast borders of Virginia.
