And They’re Off and Running for 2016

The first Republican tossed his hat into the ring yesterday. Ted Cruz announced he was running for president. Although his speech declaring his candidacy was more of a laundry list of what he was against: Obamacare, the IRS, gay marriage, getting rid of the income tax.Very if little of what he was for except about this:

“I want to ask each of you to imagine, imagine millions of courageous conservatives, all across America, rising up together to say in unison ‘we demand our liberty.’”

“Imagine...millions of people of faith all across America coming out to the polls and voting our values.”

Imagine was used over and over again. About 40 times in all. I guess the idea of the speech was to try and show Cruz’s is more than just a bomb-thrower. How anyone could get that idea is beyond me. Oh wait that’s been his entire career in the Senate.

It would be nice if someone would ask the senator what liberty is being denied to conservatives. Because I don’t see any liberty denied to them except maybe their right to dictate to people how they should believe. Because I guess the only people that have faith are conservative Christians. The only true Americans are conservatives.

On one of the show on MSNBC it was reported that one of Cruz’s staff said the Cruz will appeal to more than just conservatives. I laughed good and long and loud on that one. On what issue can Cruz possibly appeal to anyone who is moderate? It is completely laughable. As this man is completely laughable. I’m looking for further laughs from this guy as he out lines his “ideas” and “positions” on the issues. Just imagine what they might be.
