Back to the normal schedule now. After Special Days we're into the post-election realities, especially a really stupid op-ed piece from the Washington Post. We talk about that and the people behind it. We then move on to talking about social security and retirement, of all things. That leads on to a discussion of tax policy, and Arthur pushes back against two bits of Republican demagoguery. From there, it's inevitably on to the mainstream media not holding politicians accountable and the need for them to move past constant repetition of non-stories and instead explain what stories mean, not just what they are. The lack of newsroom resources is a real problem.
