2Political Episode 55

2PP055 - 17 May 2011

2Political Podcast Episode 55- is now available. You can listen to it or download it from the podcast site, 2political.com. You can leave comments there as well as download or listen to any episode (you can access the five most recent episodes from the list on the right side of my blog).

We get right on to Special Days because Jason is a bit verklempt over recent folks who dropped out of the presidential race. After that, it's the big story, the end of the world. Does that make this our last podcast? Ha! No such luck because May 22 will dawn like normal. While we’re amused by all that, there's more serious aspects to talk about, and Arthur brings up a New Zealand connection.

That leads on to another rightwing religious leader's new hobby: Huckabee's propaganda films. That leads on to a discussion of America's political divide. Are humans programmed to be polarised? That discussion leads to Arthur sharing some thoughts brought about by a blog comment discussion about Christians. We agree it's stupid to brand all Christians as "bad". Tone matters as much as word choice. Finally, we talk a bit about how poor journalism is part of the problem.

Before comments, Arthur shares a good thing—well, sort of… Comments then finish this episode.

Please leave a comment (anyone's welcome—agree or disagree!), or you can ring the 2Political Comment line on 206-350-3982.
